The avian quest

Welcome to the official global life list of Birds Seen during One Lap Around’s solo round the world motorcycle adventure. This page is a dedicated record of every avian species encountered as I travel across the globe on two wheels. Birding has been part of my life since I was a child. The Black-capped Chickadee is still one of my favorite birds. I love that birding gets me outside where I can enjoy nature. I find birds so fascinating. There are so many unique looks, habits, calls, and more that make our avian friends so amazing.

The Global Life List – A “Life List” is a permanent record of every species a birder has identified. This page tracks those specific milestones during my world tour.

Since the adventure hasn’t begun, this list represents my target birds and locations for the first leg of the trip. These sightings will eventually form the foundation of my official record, Birds Seen during One Lap Around. I’m so excited to see some of the more exotic birds of Central and South America during this first stage of the trip.
