About One Lap Around: One Lap Around is a multi-year solo motorcycle journey around the world.
I’ll be riding a 2025 Yamaha Ténéré 700, named Donkey, following remote routes and dirt roads while continuing to pursue the passions that have been part of my life for years. Following those passions will make up the structure of the trip and help dictate where I go. I track them through what I call Adventure Travel Counts, where I’ll be counting the experiences that matter to me and documenting them.
At its core, the project exists because there are parts of the world I want to experience firsthand — not read about, not scroll past, but physically go to. Since childhood, one question has followed me:
What’s around the next corner?
Travel Style
- Remote routes
- Backcountry roads
- Camping-first approach
- Time outside over time indoors
Documentation
- Long-form video journals on YouTube
- Structured storytelling around each leg of the journey
Why I Choose a Motorcycle?
I chose a motorcycle because it removes the barrier between me and the places I’m riding through. You’re not sealed off. You feel the wind, notice the weather, smell your surroundings, and experience a place as you move through it. It’s a more direct way to travel — and that’s how I want to do this trip.
